François Boucher was a French visual artist who was born in 1703. François Boucher has had numerous gallery and museum exhibitions, including at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston and at the The Metropolitan Museum of Art. Many works by the artist have been sold at auction, including 'THE SLEEP OF VENUS' sold at Sotheby's New York 'The Courts of Europe' in 2014 for $2,405,000. There have been numerous articles about François Boucher, including 'Art review: Three inaugural shows at LACMA's Resnick Pavilion' written for Los Angeles Times in 2010. The artist died in 1770.
